Biray

Every year on May 10, Barangay Villaflor comes alive with the vibrant celebration of Fiesta sa Dagat (Sea Festival) in honor of their beloved patron, Sto. Niño. At the heart of this festive day is the tradition of Biray, a communal feast by the shore that brings together families, friends, and neighbors. This celebration is not only a joyful expression of gratitude for the sea’s blessings but also a deep reflection of the community’s faith and unity.

During Biray, the beach transforms into a lively gathering place filled with colorful decorations, music, and the delicious aroma of fresh seafood and traditional Filipino dishes.

It is a time when the people of Villaflor share food, stories, and laughter, strengthening their bonds and honoring the close relationship between their livelihood and the ocean. The festive atmosphere captures the spirit of togetherness and thanksgiving that defines the community.

The Fiesta sa Dagat and Biray celebration on May 10 beautifully blend faith, culture, and nature. It honors Sto. Niño and the sea that sustains the people of Villaflor, reminding everyone of their resilience and gratitude. For both locals and visitors, this annual event is a heartfelt celebration of heritage, community, and the blessings of the sea.
